Inctrade

incgo

The purpose of creating Inctrade was to research and analyze the business buying and selling industry and decide if a business brokerage firm would be worthy of creating.  It’s just like being a real estate agent for a house, except its someone’s company that is being sold instead.

IncTrade consists of a small team that is dedicated to helping the business community. We’re a group of professionals who dedicate our time and effort to finding the right solution for you. We do specialty research to find you the right opportunity. Unlike most companies, we have made our services very straightforward and to the point. No confusing legal contracts, no taking part of your business, and no hidden expenses.

For these experimental “companies,” they are created to look, feel, and act like real businesses with a solid flow of clients.  Generally, a brand is created for the company – a logo identity, color scheme, style and personality.  Branding and identity along with a professional website with content written to sound like a corporation is enough to get a research project like this started.

Once this has been accomplished, the research begins by looking anywhere and everywhere for potential clients.  Leaving the first step to seeing what the competition offers, what kind of rates the industry is used to seeing, and setting your “prices” to be competitive and realistic.  For IncTrade in particular, a strictly commission based price rate was necessary   The fees were strictly charged only if IncTrade matched a buyer with a seller.  It was sort of a “dating service for buyers and sellers,” in order to keep legal contracts and issues out of the picture.  This also helped simplify the “business,” as IncTrade was only an experiment and it isn’t good to dig into more work than an experiment is worth – that is what actually creating the company is for.

Once all of those details are in place, which took less than two weeks – a bootstrapped marketing plan goes into action.  Unfortunately, the marketing plan remains a secret as it had a budget of $0.00.  The plan however, turned some excellent results landing a handful of “clients” within a one week period.  Most of the clients were solicited via email.

The clients were in constant communication as IncTrade searched for potential buyers of the brokered companies.  This further stimulated the “business” and dived into customer relations, customer service and the amount of time that would need to be spent dealing with customers.

The businesses IncTrade would have brokered totaled over an astounding $2 Million in total sale value, with a payoff of about 7% of that.  The clients were a Coldstone Icecream franchise, an Affordable Rent-a-Car franchise, a small custom car rental business, a failing seafood restaurant/nightclub, PlayersofAmerica, and more.  All of which were attained within two weeks time.

Of course IncTrade never officially paired a buyer with a seller, as it was not a licensed company and couldn’t engage in real business.  However, if it were a real business with some capital and a free schedule – it was found to be very feasible.

If there is anyone highly interested in the concept, the website, identity package, idea, plans, research results, list of potential clients, and resources to gain clients and execute the process are still available and may be for sale for a low price.  Please get in touch to find out more.

Tha Loft

Tha Loft is an entertainment venue started by entrepreneur KorKeya Toney, located on the third floor of an old factory.  Tim was instrumental in giving Tha Loft an identity, marketing and promoting the venue.

After having established Tab Creations in late 2004, Tha Loft was one of the bigger initial clients it put on the list.  The work started with the design of a single event flyer because the regular graphics designer was

occupied with other things.  The venue had a very unique sense of style, especially for the small city of Huntsville, AL, and was a real opportunity for Tab Creations to extend the style through printed media, online and even on television commercials.  It was only two weeks before Tab was designing every event flyer, which was upwards of four events per week.

It was only one month before the owner was interested in having Tab create a website to showcase the venue, but it would have to showcase the personality in the best way possible.  Tab was able to create a compelling design after hiring in a photographer to take pictures of the inside of the building for use within the design of the site.  It took about three weeks to complete the site.  Looking back, it isn’t the best website out there, but also wasn’t half bad for a design company owned by a sixteen-year-old.  The site was a success and had some great features.  The event calendar was updated daily, photos from each show were posted, comments from attendees were added, and even video inserts.  The site reached a steady audience of 50+ uniques daily, which is pretty impressive for such a small city and venue.

OpenBlogger.com

A project created from boredom which didn’t amount to much, but it’s a great domain name and a pretty decent idea.
